There’s a function key for the brightness. As for the colour, you don’t “set” it unless you’re talking about colour profiles and monitor calibration, but I doubt you are…

Should I just order it from walmart without most the special stuff like the better processor and the better screen or should i order it from HP and spend the extra $100-$150. I will be getting it whenever i can decide what features to get..

i just got one i wonder how you set the color and brignes do you see it when take the power core off the brigness gets low i want to set cause is too brigth it should be in ncontrol panel and i not see it

I think it would probably be ok for you. I would try it out at the computer store though first to make sure you like it. Your going to want something more powerful only if you plan to load more applications at once.
